Overview

Dr von Papen offers several haemorrhoid treatment options, ranging from quick clinic-based procedures to more definitive surgical approaches for severe or recurrent haemorrhoids. The best option depends on the type, size, and symptoms of your haemorrhoids.

Types of haemorrhoids
🩺

Haemorrhoid Banding

A quick day surgery procedure for internal haemorrhoids. A small rubber band is placed to cut off blood supply, causing the haemorrhoid to shrink and fall off over a few days.

🩺

Excisional Haemorrhoidectomy

Recommended for large, painful, or recurrent haemorrhoids. Provides a durable and definitive result. Performed under general anaesthetic as a day or overnight procedure.

🩺

HAL-RAR Procedure

A minimally invasive Doppler-guided technique that reduces blood flow to haemorrhoids and lifts prolapsing tissue. Less painful than traditional surgery with a quicker recovery.
